Technical Production Manager

The mothership is actively seeking a dynamic Technical Production Manager to join our ranks! We are offering you a permanent full-time position in our Bern office.

 

 

Job objective

 

  • Design, produce and deliver bespoke innovative and high-quality technical solutions for large scale events.
  • Develop growth within existing accounts and cultivate relationships in order to maintain and increase business opportunities.
  • Develop the business through prospecting and networking. 

 

Your main responsibilities

 

  • Produce high quality proposals and deliver events from initial brief through to final reconciliation
  • Present Dorier to potential new clients in order to generate new business
  • Act as project manager developing, planning and delivering a wide range of events
  • Manage project team, budgets, control costs and produce financial reports
  • Contract third party suppliers, negotiate prices and ensure quality of delivery
  • Keep detailed project files
  • Manage Health & Safety documentation, financial reports, event briefs & other associated administrative documents for the department.
  • On site event management for large scale projects
  • Supervision of a team of 4 people
  • Provide leadership and support to the technical and production teams whilst maintaining motivation and enthusiasm in order to deliver successful projects.

  • Dorier Senior Management at Geneva HQ

Job requirements

 

  • Min. 5 years’ experience in the meetings and events industry
  • Proven track-record of team management and delivery of large scale projects
  • Excellent knowledge of audio-visual solutions (sound, lighting, rigging, set building, broadcasting, multiplex systems and webcasting) 
  • Strong expertise in planning, developing and delivering technical solutions in the private sector internationally
  • Management of large-scale budgets
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Customer-oriented with a tenacious, persuasive and proactive attitude
  • Problem solving and leadership skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Self-confidence & ability to act decisively
  • Capacity to take a brief and grasp concepts easily

Additional requirements

 

  • Fluent in Swiss German and English (French is a plus)
  • Very well-organised and able to remain calm and cool-headed at all times
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments across continents
  • PC literacy – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Photoshop and Autocad is a plus)
