European Sales Director, Association Market

As European Sales Director - Association Sector you will be selling MCI’s solutions to trade associations and professional societies


Your responsibilities

You will generate new business for MCI’s key European offices from the association sector (both professional societies and trade associations). 

You will understand MCI’s full portfolio of solutions for associations, as well as other mci group brands’ offerings, so as to propose the right solution to match the association’s challenge or to open new opportunities for MCI.

Your target customer base:

  • International/pan-European/global associations based in Europe.
  • Large industry and trade associations headquartered in Europe.

Your territory:

Europe, with a focus on international association HQ cities – Brussels, Amsterdam, Geneva, Paris, London


Your profile

You are very familiar with the workings of associations and comfortable speaking with both volunteer leaders (Board members) and paid professional staff (C-Suite).  You are highly connected/well networked within the European association arena, having worked in a direct selling position in the past. You thrive on hunting out and developing new opportunities and are a master in maintaining and nurturing existing contacts.

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a directing selling capacity within the association sector (either at a provider/partner organization/agency or within an association)
  • Accomplished door opener and consultative selling expert
  • Proven track record in sourcing and winning new business in the association sector.
  • Deep understanding of the differences between trade associations and professional societies
  • Comfortable navigating association governance, politics and decision making
  • Ability to quickly understand different industry sectors and/or professions and converse with ease
  • Fluent English (public speaking and writing), and other European languages an asset
  • Comfortable with public speaking, networking, activation of marketing campaigns, and conversion
