Job Description:

This position sits at the heart of MCI Benelux’s Association Solutions Division, supporting international association clients across conferences, educational programmes, membership initiatives, and community-building activities. You will help associations strengthen their impact, visibility, and engagement by delivering high‑quality marketing and communications across multiple projects and audiences.

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment – someone who can juggle multiple clients and projects, stay calm under pressure, and deliver work that’s both insightful and impactful.

Associations rely on us to grow membership, elevate programmes, and drive engagement around conferences and events. You’ll bring a balanced mix of marketing and communications expertise to plan and execute integrated campaigns, craft compelling content, and steward client relationships, all while collaborating closely with other marketing and communications colleagues, event project teams, account leads, creative designers, and digital specialists.

What you’ll do

  • Own campaign execution for association conferences and programmes (education, membership, community), coordinating timelines, assets, and performance tracking across channels (email, web, social).
  • Create and adapt content – from web and newsletter copy to social posts and event collateral – aligned to brand voice and audience needs.
  • Identify and build targeted audience lists to support strategic email marketing and campaign segmentation.
  • Research and evaluate the most effective digital channels and platforms to maximise campaign reach, visibility, and engagement.
  • Manage client-facing communication, turning briefs into clear plans and keeping stakeholders informed with concise updates and performance reports.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with project managers, account teams, designers, digital partners, and external suppliers to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Monitor and optimise: track campaign results, social conversations, and user engagement.
  • Support budget preparation by helping calculate projectrelated marketing budgets in collaboration with the team / project leads.
  • Foster strong collaboration by building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external suppliers.
  • Safeguard quality & compliance: uphold brand standards and respect data protection requirements (GDPR and related best practices).

What you’ll bring

  • Association and/or event marketing experience is essential: you understand how campaigns drive registrations, membership value, and programme engagement.
  • Agency stamina and mindset: proven ability to deliver at pace across multiple clients and concurrent projects, with meticulous organisation and follow‑through.
  • Relationshipbuilding skills: able to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
  • Client‑facing confidence: you listen actively, ask sharp questions, and translate goals into clear deliverables and timelines.
  • Full‑stack marcomms: hands‑on with email marketing, audience targeting, social media management, website/CMS updates, and content writing/editing.
  • Tech savvy: comfortable working with a variety of digital tools and platforms (marketing tools, WordPress, MS Office, etc.).
  • Web content editing: able to update and optimise website content for clarity, engagement, and SEO.
  • Design skills in Canva: able to create visually appealing assets for social media, newsletters, and event collateral.
  • Data‑aware: comfortable reading performance dashboards and turning insights into practical next steps.
  • Adaptability: embrace change, respond positively to shifting priorities, and overcome obstacles with a solutionoriented mindset.
  • Customercentric mindset: act as the voice of the customer within MCI, ensuring that the client experience remains seamless and that MCI resources are aligned with their needs.
  • High emotional intelligence: bring empathy, cultural sensitivity, strong networking skills, and a collaborative spirit to every client and team interaction.
  • Language: Excellent English (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience level: 4–5 years in marketing/communications, preferably supporting associations or events and eligible to work in the EU.

What you’ll enjoy

  • A full-time position (40 hours per week, with 12 recuperation days per year) with a competitive salary package (in line with experience) including meal vouchers, hospitalisation cover, and group pension and disability insurance
  • An intense but rewarding agency environment where you’ll grow, learn, and see tangible results from your work.
  • Exposure to diverse association clients, industry leaders and international projects.
  • Opportunities to travel across Europe and beyond to support your clients’ events and experience their communities firsthand.
  • A culture that values diversity, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous learning and growth through the MCI Institute, and global collaboration across mci group’s international network
  • An open and supportive environment that values authenticity, individuality and mutual respect.
