Job Title:  Meetings & Events Intern

Our Events squads are working on engaging audiences through live, hybrid, and virtual events. Crafting creative and immersive experiences, while integrating innovative event technologies to convey the key message and story. You will be a member of one of our Event squads and this internship will provide valuable experience in all areas of the department’s work.

 

 

 

Job Description: 

Your tasks & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Desk research in contribution to overall event design (e.g., branding, venue/platform, programme, registration, sponsorships, etc).
  • Assist with the creation of proposals for specific clients.
  • Maintain contact with suppliers and partners.
  • Have an active role in internal project meetings.
  • Supporting the set-up, rehearsals, and live elements of (live, hybrid, digital) events.
  • Independently prepare briefings & presentations.
  • Onsite assistance during an event.
  • Correct handling of administration.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications

Our internship programme is designed to offer students the chance to learn what it really takes to organise a(n) event or congress on an (inter)national level.  Interns are fully involved in the entire life cycle of the project management process and by working within an Agile project team, they have a chance to gain an in-depth understanding on all facets of a(n) (inter)national event or conference.

Each intern has a mentor assigned, who is supervising the work of the intern, but is also coaching and guiding the intern throughout the duration of the internship.

For all internships, the following applies;

  • MCI The Netherlands can only offer internships to students that are currently enrolled in an educational institution as a student and the internship should be part of this education. It should be noted that after graduation, you will no longer be able to apply for this position as an intern.
  • You must be an EU citizen (or hold a valid VISA/residence permit for The Netherlands)
  • Our internships are all for a minimum of 5 months.
