Job Objective
Black Flower Agency, a NYC-based experiential marketing and events agency, and a key United States business unit of global company MCI Group (www.mci-group.com), is interviewing highly organized, energetic and self-starting candidates with a strong understanding of marketing, hospitality, events, and the luxury lifestyle sector to fulfill an Account Executive / Marketing Coordinator role.
This position will work with a team that delivers on a loyalty program that provides exclusive premium experiences to VIP consumers in various verticals including sports, entertainment, fashion, art, and lifestyle. The role will specialize on managing the overall marketing and awareness plan to support activation initiatives, as well as support in general event, administrative, and office duty tasks if required. The position requires project management, editing, and copywriting skills, with emphasis on the importance of collaboration, communication, and the ability to adapt to multiple projects/tasks in a dynamic environment.
Main Responsibilities
- End-to-end marketing project lead for portfolio of client’s high-end experiential activations, including:
- Overseeing weekly, monthly, and annual marketing tracker
- Securing placements across owned and below-the-line channels
- Manage creative submissions process for marketing placements, landing pages, and imagery for each event
- Manage marketing timelines through the entire approval process
- Proofing of placements
- Recording marketing metrics and reach
- Managing updates to terms and conditions and marketing claims
- Attend and lead weekly cross-functional marketing meetings
- Gain a thorough understanding of brand rules and regulations
- Collaborative efforts in the planning and execution of high-end experiential activations from intimate to broadscale, with a focus on sports, entertainment, fashion, art, and lifestyle
- Provide comprehensive support to the experiential account team, including but not limited to: research, crafting meeting agendas and recap notes, event data collection, ticket sales & revenue tracking, status reports, deliverables trackers, and more
- Management of key documents and event collateral: marketing trackers, hospitality decks, transportation spread sheets, production reports, activity trackers, training documents, guest lists, itineraries, invitations, signage, menu and seating cards, tickets, event recaps, etc.
- Communicate with key partners and vendors such as hotel properties, transportation companies, restaurant establishments, venues, staffing agencies, etc. to ensure seamless event execution
- Assist with financial processes including budget tracking and reconciliation, coding expenses, submitting invoices, and facilitating payments
- Participate on client conference calls and in-person client meetings
- On-site event support, ensuring service is impeccable and adhere to best practices standard
- Assist on other client projects, as assigned
- Monitor and research industry trends, innovations, and competitive landscape; provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements and/or areas of opportunity
- Maintain knowledge of agency structure and functions, utilizing resources appropriately and efficiently
- Build full knowledge of agency’s offerings, mission, and vision
- Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams
- All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- 1-2+ years of relevant professional experience (in addition to internships)
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign required. Proficiency in Google Slides and/or Canva a plus.
- Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as needed
- Strong computer skills – MAC proficient; Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required).
- Conversational proficiency in other languages a plus

- This position is client and high net-worth individual consumer facing on-site at events, and requires strong hospitality skills
Technical Skills
- Strong computer skills – MAC proficient; Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required)
