Salary: $135,000 - $145,000
Job Summary:
The Controller will report to the CFO and be responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting functions through developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial close and reporting. You will serve as the primary architect of the organization's financial engine. This is not a "maintenance" role; we are seeking a "Digital Native" finance leader who will leverage 2–5 years of high-caliber experience to optimize transactional workflows, oversee the accounting function and bridge the gap between day-to-day operations and high-level CFO strategy, delivering accuracy, oversight, and efficiency.
The Controller will be expected to exhibit the highest professional standards and attention to detail. We are looking for a hands-on leader to work in a collaborative and independent setting with a strong work ethic, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight Role: Oversee the accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and project-close accounting functions and reporting, including supervision of the full accounting team (including, ten talents).
- Process Optimization & Automation Mastery: Lead the transformation of the finance office from "Transactional" to "Analytical." Audit existing process and tools to identify bottlenecks and implement optimization processes. Enhance the half year closing cycle through the use of automated reconciliation and workflow orchestration.
- Project-Based Financial Excellence: Partner with division and business unit leaders to manage the financial lifecycle of our event and project portfolio. Ensure precise Gross Margin reporting in accordance with US GAAP and project close cycles that are finalized within 30 days of event conclusion.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Architecture: Develop sophisticated direct and indirect project cash flow models to provide the CFO with liquidity visibility.
- Culture & Team Mentorship: Build and lead a high-performing distributed team. Foster a culture of "Growth and Accountability" through the use of performance dashboards and professional development pathing. Develop and maintain collaborative working with division and business unit leaders
- Global Collaboration: Partner with MCI global finance team to optimize MCI USA financial processes and led the MCI USA audits as part of the global audit engagement.

Qualifications:
- Ability to lead a team through coaching and hands-on support
- Ability to mentor others and delegate effectively
- Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel proficiency required)
- ERP platform experience required; SAP and Salesforce experience preferred
- Occasional Travel to various MCI USA Offices for Team Meetings and Engagement Events
- Occasional International Travel to Global Offices for Meetings with Global Finance team
