Job Description: 

Job Objective

This position serves as a member of the Marketing Team within the SEM&I Business Unit. The Event Marketing Director will support the efforts of the Strategic Event Management department by leading the development of strategic marketing campaigns that reinforce client attendee acquisition goals, increase conversion rates and enhance brand presence in the marketplace.  

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead growing Marketing team, provide training and guidance to team
  • Develop strategic event marketing campaigns for various clients; including analysis of marketplace, develop marketing plan that achieves client goals and agreed upon KPIs
  • Provide high level of strategic direction and planning to client 
  • Interact with client leadership, board and volunteers; lead presentations and meetings
  • Create client email marketing timelines and implementation plan, present plans to clients
  • Design multi-faceted digital marketing campaigns to expand awareness, increase lead generation and re-engage dormant leads. Provide post-campaign reports that include measured results to help gauge the return on investment.
  • List research for event-specific build and cleanse of data to expand campaign reach and to ensure data accuracy.
  • Lead client facing communication
  • Design, create and send all client marketing emails
  • Create social media graphics and copy for clients
  • Monitor and gather email analytics for clients and future campaigns
  • Develop client facing post show reports
  • All other tasks as assigned

 

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years marketing experience
  • Degree preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of design programs such as Canva, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email marketing tools such as MailChimp, databases, etc.
  • Graphic design capabilities a plus
  • Must have strong organizational and multi-project management skills
  • Limited travel will be required

 

Professional Competencies

Ability to oversee and manage at least (2) direct reports

 

Technical Skills

Proficiency in various marketing technologies and graphic design tools

 

Additional Local Requirements

Minimal travel onsite to events may be required.
