Job Title:  Ovation Netherlands DMC Intern

The Ovation Netherlands DMC team is servicing associations, corporations and agencies. With extensive local expertise, creativity and resources the team specializes in designing and executing event objectives from logistics to exclusive high-end programmes. You will support the team in the organization of various projects within the set budget.

 

Job Description: 

Your tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Desk research in contribution to overall event design (e.g., branding venue/platform, programme, social programme etc).
  • Assist with the creation of proposals for specific clients.
  • Maintain contact with suppliers and partners.
  • Independently prepare briefings & presentations.
  • Have an active role in internal project meetings.
  • Maintaining the Ovation database.
  • Onsite assistance during events.
  • Correct handling of the administration and assist in setting up budgets.

  • Fluency in Dutch and English (speaking and writing)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Knowledge of Amsterdam and its surroundings
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications

  • Flexible, especially in busy periods
  • Adaptcomfortably to a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities and deadlines

Our internship programme is designed to offer students the chance to learn what it really takes to organise a(n) event or congress on an (inter)national level.  Interns are fully involved in the entire life cycle of the project management process and by working within an Agile project team, they have a chance to gain an in-depth understanding on all facets of a(n) (inter)national event or conference.

Each intern has a mentor assigned, who is supervising the work of the intern, but is also coaching and guiding the intern throughout the duration of the internship.

For all internships, the following applies;

  • MCI The Netherlands can only offer internships to students that are currently enrolled in an educational institution as a student and the internship should be part of this education. It should be noted that after graduation, you will no longer be able to apply for this position as an intern.
  • You must be an EU citizen (or hold a valid VISA/residence permit for The Netherlands)
  • Our internships are all for a minimum of 5 months.
