Job Description: 

Main Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop business in outlined business segments (mainly DMC) within assigned key markets (focusing but not exclusively to US, Canada, UK and other European markets)
  • Sells MCI’s and Ovation´s products, destinations and services within assigned accounts or territory to achieve assigned revenue goal.
  • Work proactively to build relationship with existing and new accounts for Ovation Spain & Portugal

Marketing & Sales

  • Set up and execute sales activities in key markets (sales calls, participation at trade shows and industry events, Fam Trips, among others)
  • Coordinate and integrate involvement in all marketing-related and acquired based activities with customers and provide consultative support relative to specific products/services, working hand in hand with the Marketing Team.
  • Provide accurate and complete market feedback on competition, service issues, and customer requirements as well as marketing opportunities.
  • Maintain reporting in CRM up to date
  • Support Client Solution Team in the proposal development stage from a sales perspective

 

 

Skills & requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the MICE Market as Sales Manager focused on International Clients. Experience in the Events industry and in the national MICE market is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Spain & Portugal as MICE destination
  • Excellent presentation, sales and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, dynamic and pro-active, offering availability to travel
  • Good written and verbal communication in business English and Spanish + one other language. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Attention to detail, Self-Motivation, Honesty & Integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products
  • Interest in and knowledge or experience in Sustainability

 

Description of Relationships

  • The Sales Manager reports to the Head of Sales and interacts with other Sales Managers, Account Managers and Projects Managers as well as the Marketing Team and other Sales staff across the Group
  • The Sales Manager interacts with clients, prospects, suppliers as well as trade and associations
