How do you connect thousands of employees across countries, cultures and brands around a shared purpose, strategy and employee experience?

At mci group, we believe communication helps bring strategy, culture and people together. We are looking for a Head of Group Internal Communications to join our Leadership Team and shape how employees connect with our leaders, culture and business priorities across an international, multi-brand organisation.

Reporting to the Group HR Director, you will work closely with the CEO, the Group President, People & Operations, and colleagues across the group.

What you will do

  • Shape the group's internal communications strategy and annual priorities.
  • Advise senior leaders on executive communication, organisational change and employee engagement.
  • Partner with Group HR to bring our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to life, using communication to strengthen employee engagement, culture, onboarding and the overall employee experience.
  • Co-lead the evolution of our digital workplace with our IT and Digital Transformation team, strengthening content governance, user adoption and knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a trusted communication adviser across the business.
  • Coach and develop our Group Internal Communications Coordinator.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of our annual Business Academy, our flagship leadership gathering.
  • Support and enhance CEO Live, leadership meetings and other strategic employee moments.

What you bring

  • 8+ years’ experience in internal communications and employee engagement
  • An international mindset, with experience working across countries, cultures and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • The confidence and credibility to advise and influence senior leaders, including at the executive level.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with a talent for writing, editing and storytelling.
  • The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, moving comfortably between big-picture planning and execution.
  • Experience leading communication through organisational change and business integration.
  • A strong track record of building alignment and delivering outcomes across functions, countries and business units.
  • A good understanding of how communication can support employee experience, culture and talent engagement across the employee lifecycle.
  • An inclusive, human-first leadership style that builds trust and encourages open dialogue.
  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive, confidential or high-impact communication.
  • Confidence using digital workplace, collaboration and emerging AI tools to improve reach, relevance and knowledge sharing.

Why join mci group

Play a visible role in an organisation where people are encouraged to take ownership, continue to grow, be part of a global business and thrive in a supportive environment, and help bring that experience to life for colleagues around the world.

Help shape how we communicate and connect, with real scope to influence our people, culture and future direction. We offer an 80–100% workload because senior talent should not have to choose between meaningful work and a sustainable rhythm.

Ready to apply?

If you enjoy combining strategy with hands-on delivery, advising senior leaders, and creating communication and experiences that make a genuine difference to employees, we'd love to hear from you.

Please send your CV and a short note on why this opportunity interests you.
